Sticky Situations

I love my VersaMat and Micro-tip Scissors.  The VersaMat is great for the measurement grid, self healing surface and that it protects my works surface from nicks and all the "embellishments"  I add to my projects.  I equally love my micro-tip scissors.  They are so sharp and maneuver around some of the most difficult patterns.  The cap is great to keep them sharp and protect me and the rest of my supplies from their super sharp points and blades. To keep these in tip top condition here's some helpful hints.  I clean and use my favorite spray furniture polish on the VersaMat.  It protects it and although adhesives still stick to it, the polish makes adhesive much easier to remove and renews the mat to new condition.  I've learned the hard way that cutting adhesive foam tape or sticky papers gum up my scissors and make them almost useless.  You can clean them carefully with soap and water, Undu, goo-gone or even rubbing alcohol but then to keep them in perfectly sharp condition for the intricate cutting they are meant for, I found an inexpensive pair of scissors that I designate just for use on the adhesive foam tapes and sticky papers.  Your tools are an investment, keep them in good condition and your projects will be easier and come out better.

Get 5 Free!

I did this layout of my beautiful granddaughters digitally in Studio J.  When I have the inspiration to scrap but don't have the pictures printed out I can just download my pics to my Studio J account and scrap away.  It's especially convenient that I can change their sizes to fit the layout automatically.  Changing fonts to fit the style is easy as is adding embellishments and there's no mess! Shipping is free and in addition you get 5 Memory Protector pages free. This month it's so affordable with the Studio J Five for Free Campaign.  Purchase a 5 pack (5 layouts/10 pages) for just $55 and get a second 5 pack free! Go to Closetomyheart.com/dbuzzell and click on shop online, then Studio J products.  Choose as many 5 packs as you want and when you get to check out for each 5 pack a second will be added free! This is a great way to try out Studio J and save too! Even members save!  So what are you waiting for?  Get 5 free only during February!

Fast and Fun Christmas Layout

Fast and Fun!  Using the stamp from the Wonderland WOTG kit and ink colors Heavenly Blue, Crystal Blue and White Daisy on Heavenly Blue Cardstock I created background paper also distressing the edges with a dauber and White Daisy ink.  Torn Colonial White cardstock works great for center matting.  Bitty Sparkles and Designer Rhinestone Brads highlight the stamped and Art Philosphy Cricut stars. Stamped images from Glory To God D1483 and Everlasting Love D1440 compliment this page for our live Nativity.
