TuTu Cute

I had the awesome opportunity to participate in a 3 day crop weekend.  It was wonderful with no interruptions to making pages.  We didn't sleep much which is why I was able to achieve emptying almost a whole shoe box of old pictures (30 to 100 years old) onto 64 pages.  Who would sleep when you can scrap!!  Anyway, included in some of those pages I completed this page of my granddaughter in her dance recital this past summer.  So  this one is not an old picture.  It was created with Roxie Stickease and paper collection.  It was fast and easy and my favorite of the weekend.

Roxie WOTG

The Roxie WOTG is sassy paper collection including Tulip and Smoothie co-ordinated with Black and Desert Sand.  Rosey florals, animal prints and plaids make this really unique.  The Workshop is October 26 but you need to order supplies 2 weeks in advance.  I just love the circle opposing straight lines to make my layout really different from all the rest. And we will add bling too!

Coordinating Page

I had to have a coordinating page for my Elemental Cricut Diecut Scrap page (shown below) so this is what I came up with. Stamping the edges with the stitch stamp from the WOTG and Pennant Alphabet letters was a start.  After adding my pictures I used the new border edge trimmed off an Elemental B&T as a border to my pictures.  Elemental Compliments completed my page.  This is super simple but I love this layout!

Using Leftover Scraps from Cricut Die Cuts

Using the Elemental WOTG kit, the guide gave instructions to cut an 11X11 diecut using the Cricut for another layout.  I couldn't let the leftover piece go to waste!  It made a super page by adhering it to a Colonial White cardstock and decorating with stamps, markers, and the New Elemental Compliments. Add some stamped Pennant Alphabet letters and it's a great page! When you order the Elemental WOTG make sure you use this idea for another page.

Brads

When I insert my pages into my page protectors,  I find it frustrating sometimes when the prongs of the brads on the back of my project get hooked going in, sometimes even damaging the page.  A good remedy is to cover them. On the back of this Sonoma Page layout, I cut off pieces from sticker sheets, which are self adhesive to cover those prongs but you can also adhere pieces of scrap paper over them as well.
